Encouraging a love of books from an early age helps to develop listening skills, increase attention span and spark creativity. Sharing books helps to introduce new and interesting words, providing a great start to lifelong learning and an inquisitive mind that is confident to open a book and learn.

As well as ensuring books are available in all areas of the nursery we choose core stories that are popular with the children. Focusing on a core story allows us to really get to know a story, rereading it, exploring the plot, the characters, the images and developing ideas from the story to support all areas of learning.
